CANTON —  Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to announce that Blue Hills Regional Technical School has appointed individuals to several administrative positions, including business manager, assistant principal, and director of admissions and financial aid.
Blue Hills Regional Technical School has appointed Jill Brilhante as the district’s new business manager, Mark Aubrey as the school’s new assistant principal, and Stephanie Albernaz as the new director of admissions and financial aid.
“On behalf of the Blue Hills community, I am pleased to welcome Jill, Mark and Stephanie to their new roles,” said Superintendent Rossetti. “Each of them brings a wealth of knowledge to our district and I am confident that with their work experience they will succeed as part of the Blue Hills community.”
For the past 15 years, Brilhante has worked as a business administrator in the field of education. She most recently worked in the Seekonk Public Schools as school business administrator. In this position, she directed all aspects of the school department’s fiscal operations, including budget development and entry, creation and management of the general ledger chart of accounts, and fiscal analysis and reporting, among many other responsibilities.
Prior to working in Seekonk, Brilhante also worked as the director of finance and operations at the Southeastern Massachusetts Educational Collaborative. She has also worked as both a district treasurer and grants management accountant for Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, and as a business office manager/accountant for Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School District.
Brilhante is from Swansea, where she lives with her husband and two Goldendoodle pups, Stewie and Lucy. She has two grown sons and recently celebrated her first grandchild’s birth.
She holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Johnson & Wales University.
Aubrey has spent over two decades working in education, with the majority of that time  serving at the South Shore Regional School District. At South Shore, he most recently served as the principal of the school, but prior to this role he also worked as an assistant principal, dean of students, department head and history teacher.
Prior to joining the South Shore Regional School District, Aubrey also worked at Lowell High School, his alma mater, for four years.
Throughout his 24-year career in education, Aubrey has been involved in all facets of the high school experience as he has also served as an advisor to the Student Council, Equity Club, Drama Club, and Gay-Straight Alliance, in addition to coaching softball.
Aubrey was born in Montana but spent much of his childhood in Lowell. He holds a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree, both in history, from Salem State College. He has also received an Education Leadership certificate from Bridgewater State University and a Psychology of Leadership certificate from Cornell University.
Albernaz is a familiar face at Blue Hills having most recently worked at the school for the past two years as an instructional technology specialist. Albernaz provided instructional technology leadership, staff development and instructional support to all instructional and administrative staff. She also collaborated with the administrative team and faculty to ensure infrastructure and technology tools were available to carry out district technology initiatives.
Prior to working as the school’s instructional technology specialist, she also worked in the district as the Career Technical Initiative (CTI) grant and data manager and as a continuing education instructor.
Albernaz also previously worked as a principal/assistant principal and technology education integration specialist at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical School, a business and technology teacher at Taunton High School, and a workforce and sustainability staff associate at Bristol Community College.
She currently works at Bristol Community College as a career and technical training and professional development instructor.
Albernaz holds a Master of Education in educational leadership from Bridgewater State University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
