New Century Technology High school ranked second in state – WAFF

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – New Century Technology High School is celebrating after being ranked number two in the state by U.S. News and World Report.
The publication ranks schools based on many factors like AP placement percentage and overall grade point average. The school ranked 282 in the country, 60 for magnet high schools and first in Huntsville.
On Monday, students and teachers celebrated the big achievement with an assembly. The assembly featured a performance from the school’s jazz band.
Back in 2022, the U.S. News and World Report ranked Huntsville as the best place to live. In 2023, it moved to number two, just behind Green Bay, Wisconsin.
