Herby Angel, a Noida-based ayurvedic and organic baby care brand, has raised $2.5 million (Rs 20.8 crore) in a funding round from JCBL Group.  
As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used to expand its distribution and product portfolio.
Further, the fresh infusion will enable the startup to develop its technology stack, research and development (R&D) initiatives, and marketing. 
Founded in 2023, Herby Angel is a Noida-based omnichannel baby care brand that is revolutionizing baby & kids’ care with organic, Ayurveda-based, doctor-formulated holistic wellness solutions. The Noida-based ayurvedic and organic baby care brand manufactures nutraceutical and pharmaceutical ayurvedic products for babies. 
In the offline segment, Herby Angel claims to have a presence across 13 states in 1,300 retail stores. Offering 30 products across health and wellness, Herby Angel’s products are available on leading e-commerce marketplaces, including Amazon, Flipkart, JioMart, and FirstCry, amongst others. 
The omnichannel distribution model enables the startup to maximize points of sale, allowing it to maximize its returns on marketing spending. 
Claiming to have clocked Rs 12 crore in monthly revenue, the Noida-based startup targets to achieve a monthly revenue of Rs 25 crore by March 2024. By the end of FY24, the Noida-based startup aims to enter 18 states and expand its retail operations to 2000 stores.
With changing consumer behaviuor, there is an increased demand for sustainable products and ethical-conscious consumption. According to a report by TechSci Research, the organic personal care products market in India is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 15% to reach US $1,239.04 million in FY 2026. The Indian organic personal care products market was valued at US$ 570 million in FY 2020-21.
A few months back, BabyChakra, a parenting community and babycare D2C brand BabyChakra, secured funding from actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador Dia Mirza to incorporate sustainable and clean care principles into their product ranges. Earlier in February, A Toddler Thing, a Coimbatore-based startup offering eco-friendly, organic, and sustainable baby care products, secured seed funding of $268,689 (around Rs 2.2 crore) for product development, marketing, and geographical expansion.
