Candidate forum set for Friday – Peninsula Daily News

PORT ANGELES — Soroptimist International of Port Angeles – Noon Club will host a candidate forum for elective offices at noon Friday.
The forum, which will take place at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 S. Del Guzzi Drive, in Port Angeles, will give voters the opportunity to hear the candidates discuss their position for their respective offices and obtain more information on local proposals.
It is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP to online@LWAS.US should you be interested in attending and a Zoom invitation will be provided.

Invited to the forum were Port Angeles City Council candidates appointed incumbent Amy Miller and Jim Haguewood, Position 5; elected incumbent Navarra Carr and Mark Karjalainen, Position, 6; Kalli Mae Jones and Deputy Mayor Brendan Meyer, Position 7; as well as Port of Port Angeles commission hopefuls incumbent Connie Beauvais and Lee Whetam.
All but Karjalainen had confirmed as of last week. No updated information was available by Tuesday.
