General Statement of Duties
The Dean of the School of Business, Science, Technology and Mathematics is responsible for day to day administration, management, supervision, and evaluation of the School at Mount Wachusett Community College. 
The Dean works closely and collaboratively with all members of the Academic Affairs team, as well as with other constituencies within the College to advance the strategic vision of the institution while keeping a focus on student success, equity and collegiality.
The Dean is also responsible for the direction, development, implementation, and growth of programs and courses within a responsive curriculum, instruction and learning support.  Working with faculty and staff, the Dean ensures systematic measurement of student learning outcomes and deployment of assessment results to curriculum and instructional improvement plans and fosters a spirit of creativity and innovation in curriculum and instruction while being responsible for promoting excellence in teaching and the use of technology and appropriate pedagogy in the classroom.
The Dean has overall supervision of the following academic departments and programs:  Automotive Technology, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems and Computer Science, Earth and Environmental Science, Engineering Physics, Environmental Conservation, Mathematics, Pre-Pharmacy and Veterinary Technology.
