Cendyn acquires hotel digital marketing provider WIHP – PhocusWire

Global hospitality technology firm Cendyn has acquired Paris-based WIHP, a company specializing in hotel digital marketing and metasearch technology. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Cendyn describes the acquisition as a “key milestone” in its quest to facilitate revenue growth for hospitality clients by offering services that deepen guest relationships and boost direct bookings.

“We are thrilled to embark on this transformative journey with WIHP,” said Jack Blaha, who became CEO at Cendyn in January.

“The synergy between both companies is remarkable, and with WIHP’s metasearch prowess, this merger reaffirms our commitment to driving more demand for our customers’ most profitable direct booking channel.”

The acquisition also extends Cendyn’s reach, particularly in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

“At the core of this transformative acquisition lies two true digital leaders in the industry,” said Vincent Ramelli, CEO at WIHP.

“Marrying Cendyn’s rich heritage with WIHP’s state-of-the-art metasearch expertise establishes a new epoch in the hospitality industry. We are incredibly excited to see what we can achieve together for our industry.”

The entire WIHP team will stay on with Cendyn, and Ramelli will become senior vice president of e-commerce business development.

Cendyn’s last acquisition was one year ago when it acquired DigitalHotelier, a London-based design, revenue management and data intelligence firm. Founded in 1996, Cendyn merged with Pegasus and NextGuest in 2021.
